According to the results of the studies carried out in recent years, the interest in orthodontics has increased due to the increasing importance of preventive dentistry all over the world and the diseases caused by factors such as heredity, developmental deficiencies, various wrong habits (finger sucking).
The presence of gaps between the teeth, crowding in the teeth, and the protrusion of some teeth are the conditions that indicate the necessity of orthodontic treatment. Other matters;
• Difficulty in chewing,
• Prominence of the lower or upper jaw,
• Mouth breathing,
• Pressing the tongue against the anterior teeth
• Crackling from the jawbone
and similar sounds
Early diagnosis simplifies treatment and reduces the cost of treatment by shortening the treatment time. Thanks to early diagnosis and treatment, the permanent teeth that have replaced the milk teeth are ensured to erupt properly and space is reserved for the teeth that have not yet erupted. This prevents the teeth from sticking out too much and breaking easily. At the same time, early diagnosis shortens the time required for treatment and reduces the cost, but orthodontic treatment can be applied to anyone with teeth and healthy bones that retain teeth.
For this reason, although orthodontic treatment is considered as a treatment performed only in childhood, adults have also shown interest in this treatment, as teeth can be corrected without the need for any prosthesis or coating in recent years.
